As of early summer 2005, the first comprehensively designed business campus with an integrated service concept in the economic region of Munich has been established right at the outskirts of Munich within sight of the new Allianz Arena, the Olympic tower and the BMW cylinder. This will boost development for Garching on a consistent basis as well as increase the value of the existing commercial zone. On an area of 20 hectares between downtown, the new underground station, the Technical University campus and the residential/commercial area Garching-Hochbrück, about 6,000 modern workplaces are to be established step by step within seven to ten years.
